The Bodhi Bonsai, or Sacred fig or Ficus religiosa is a species of fig that is native to the Indian subcontinent. It belongs to the fig or Mulberry family.
Buddha had achieved enlightenment while meditating under the Bodhi tree, hence it is regarded by many as a sacred plant/tree. The plant enjoys partial to full shade from the sun, hence a suitable specimen to be kept indoors. It likes it's soil more to the moist side. The leaf structure is beautiful, with the tip of each leaf ending at a pointed, curved end.
The Bodhi Bonsai is nestled within a smooth white KIPOS self-watering system, saving time and the guessing game of when and how much to water.
An indicator shows the water level in the reservoir and a easy access outlet to refill. The reservoir lasts between 2-3weeks, and the plant can be placed indoors or a bright shaded balcony/Plato. Avoid placing in direct sunlight as it may burn the Queen’s outfitted leaves.
